Accommodation Bookings with Harambee Hotel (Pty) Ltd

Bookings are only confirmed once Harambee Hotel (Pty) Ltd (Harambee) has received 100% of the booking/ticket amount and the client has received a booking confirmation form from us.
We regret that all bookings cancelled within 30 days of the scheduled time of arrival will result in forfeiture of the full confirmation fee. No refunds or cancellations will be possible (third party booking terms may also apply).
Bookings cancelled more than 30 days before the booking date are eligible for a 70% refund.
Bookings can be made by telephone or email. However, our online enquiry form is especially designed to assist us in ensuring that your needs are fully met and this is therefore the preferred mode of enquiry.
Harambee reserves the right to cancel all bookings should insufficient bookings for an event be made, in such an event the guest will be entitled to a full refund.
Force Majeure Event will abscond Harambee at their sole discretion from any payment of refunds.

Check-in and Checkout at Harambee

Each event may have slightly different options, but in general if not specified, check in may be any time from 10:00am on the morning of the first day of accommodation. Guests are required to check out by no later than midday (12:00) on the day of departure. Later checkout will result in the charging of a levy equal to one day’s accommodation rate.

Smoking

For the comfort of our guests, Harambee is a strictly non smoking accommodation establishment. No smoking in the tents (this also poses a significant fire hazard)!

Valuables

Harambee does not accept any liability for loss of or damage to any valuables or property belonging to guests or their visitors.
It is therefore the sole responsibility of all guests to make arrangements for adequate insurance coverage on all valuable items prior to arrival at Harambee. This includes but is not limited to, photographic equipment, laptops or other electronic devices, jewelry, cash and vehicles.

Pets

Pets are not permitted.

General Indemnity for Harambee

Whilst every care has been taken by Harambee to ensure the safety of guests and their possessions whilst enjoying our accommodation, Harambee does not accept any liability in the event that any loss or damage to persons or property is experienced by a guest.

Loss or Damage to Harambee

Should Harambee suffer any loss or damage as a result of an act or omission by a guest or visitor of a guest, the guest will remain liable for full reimbursement of such loss or damage incurred and will be billed accordingly. The onus is on the guest to check the tent contents on check in.

Right of Admission Reserved

Harambee at all times reserves the full right of admission and accepts no liability for any loss or damage that may result from the legal and reasonable exercising of such rights.
Should Harambee at any time need to exercise this right, no reimbursements or refunds will be made in this regard.

Force Majeure Event

The occurrence of an event which materially interferes with the ability of Harambee Hotel to provide tented accommodation at a specific event, which is not within the reasonable control of Harambee Hotel or any of its Affiliates, and which could not with the exercise of Diligent Efforts have been avoided, including, but not limited to: strikes, lockouts or riots, war, rebellion, acts of God, fire, storm earthquakes, floods and destruction by lightning, epidemics or quarantines, fire, delay, shortage, lack of/interruptions to supplies, and road closures or lack of access to roads shall excuse Harambee Hotel from the performance of its obligations or duties under this Agreement, and shall abscond them from any payment of refunds, at Harambee’s sole discretion.
